AIDA personality development training underway

AIDA, in collaboration with Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) by TATA, and in association with Head Held High Foundation, Bengaluru, is conducting a 45-day training program on personality development for those who have appeared their HSSLC examinations. The training program, where candidates are learning various soft skills, started on March 21 at AIDA, Don Bosco School Campus, Dimapur. 

Placement coordinator, Anita Kapuh, in a press release stated that 20 HHSLC appeared candidates from Nagaland, Manipur and Assam have enrolled for the training which will conclude on May 11.

The program is part of IHCL’s CSR, Inclusion & Diversity efforts targeting under-served regions and communities in partnership with cause-based organizations. 

The program hopes to provide an opportunity to interested youth from the North East region who would like to join IHCL’s hospitality-industry related pro bono aspirational skill development program called Golden Threshold Program, a 3-year duration degree program, in association with Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

On March 21, Sunny Joseph, executive director of AIDA, welcomed the resource persons and participants. Munmi, manager-learning and development from Taj Vivanta, Guwahati, oriented the participants on IHLC. She gave a presentation on the TATAs and Taj Hotels across the globe.

Harinath Dinkar, project manager, Head Held High, Bengaluru, is the resource person for the training. 

The first session of the training began with a ‘Self-Discovery and Self Esteem & Attitude’ session to help participants rid themselves of shyness and explore their strengths.

Some of topics planned for the training are personality grooming, manner and etiquette, HR interview skills, CV writing, public speaking skills etc.
