AoYimkum Youth Organisation (ALT) has condemned the action of police officer (IR), who in an intoxicated state allegedly entered the village premises on July 5 night at around 10:30 pm and harassed the villagers and also physically “abused” the village council chairman. In a condemnation note, ALT president, Akumba Imchen and secretary, Imnatoshi Aier said that they were not aware whether the officer was acting in his personal capacity or was following orders from higher authority but warned that such kind of intimidating act will not be tolerated.

It therefore, appealed to the concerned authority to take up the matter and initiate stringent action against the officer and his aides, so that such incident was not repeated.
