AMAM observes Road Safety Week in Mkg

Members of Adventure and Motorsports Association Mokokchung (AMAM) Saturday observed Road Safety Week 2019 in collaboration with Regional Transport Office (RTO) Mokokchung. The members observed the day distributing car stickers and giving awareness to motorist at various locations of the town. 

Around 1000 stickers were distributed to all the vehicles passing through the various points manned by the volunteers. The officials representing RTO Mokokchung was led by B. Chekum Chang Road Safety Enforcement and others while about 20 members from AMAM took part in the event today.

Road safety week is a national event aimed at raising public awareness about traffic rules and ultimately to reduce casualties due to road accidents Therefore, to make people more aware of the traffic rules and to persuade them to follow rules while on road; the Road Safety Week is observed annually.
