AMAN 42nd annual district conference held in Dmu

Two-day AMAN 42nd annual district conference commenced here, on Saturday at Lions centre Leo Park, Dimapur. 

The conference was hosted by Lions club of Dimapur, Lions clubs international district, 322D with international director Lion Dr Narwal J Malu as chief guest inaugurating the conference. 

Speaking at the conference, the chief guest in his speech said that conference was a milestone and called upon the members to be active and dedicated.

He also shared how the members during the pandemic converted the difficult times into opportunities during which the clubs distributed two lakhs ninety-one thousand (approx), food packets and in this, new members came forward for registration.

He mentioned that for the last two months, India had the highest number of memberships in the club which had been successful with the efforts and active participation of the members.

The chief guest in his speech urged each and every club to come about with signature projects, to participate in conventions and forums and to motivate as well as get motivated.

Stating that “it is not the job you do but what you do is important”, Malu encouraged them to take the lead, concentrate and learn to justify social time. 

Addressing the gathering, district governor Lion Lalita R Khadria expounded on how the members converted the challenges during the pandemic time into opportunities and responded with kindness, patience and conviction.

The programme highlighted release of Eastern Lion, silver jubilee magazine and souvenir by the chief guest, presentation of peace poster award by Lion Lalit Kotharo and presentation of karamyogi award by PDG Lion NC Karnani.

One minute silence for world peace was presided over by MJF Lion Praveen Jain while lightning of lamp was carried out by the chief guest.

Earlier, welcome address was delivered by MJF Lion Mahesh Agarwal and vote of thanks was delivered by PMJF Lion Gopal Sharma.
