All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) said it was “disturbed and appalled” with the passing of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, despite opposition by indigenous tribal citizens in particular and the North East.

In a press note, ANCSU president Vimeyiekho Vitso and general secretary Imnameren N Jamir, while extending solidarity with the neighbouring states, said they were deeply pained that the “malevolent bill” had cost the lives of the innocents persons in the neighboring states

Although Nagaland comes under the ambit of Inner Line Permit, ANCSU asserted that ILP does not in any way guarantee to safeguard the Nagas from the heinous CAB.

All Nagaland College Students’ Union said the Bill was treacherous in nature and infringed upon the basic principle of the Indian Constitution.

All Nagaland College Students’ Union said it would fervently oppose CAB and urged the political leaders to represent the will and aspiration of its people. It also affirmed to stand by Naga Students’ Federation in fight against CAB.
