All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has welcomed the postponement of the Nagaland University examinations for odd semester (1st, 3rd, 5th) and lauded the state government and the university authority for understanding the threat of the prevailing pandemic.

In a press release, ANCSU president Vimeyiekho Vitso and information & publicity secretary Aochuba P Jamir suggested that physical mode of examination should be discouraged for the pending semester exams. The union further suggested that exams, which were to be held during January/February 2021, should be conducted through online mode “with befitting examination code of conduct.”

Meanwhile, the union has appealed the college fraternity to be diligent and cautious. It also urged the NU to ensure that the career of the students was not jeopardised under any circumstances.
