All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has threatened to initiate protest all over the state in the event of government’s failure to meet its four-point demand.

In a representation addressed to the engineer-in-chief, department of power, the ANEFWA president Ayeto Sumi and general secretary Tepuhosul highlighted the grievances of the members and sought government’s intervention and necessary action.

The association has demanded that the state government set aside Clause–D of the Office Memorandum dated June 20, 2019 and make applicable B and C to the member of ANEFWA for relaxing the year of experience for promotion.

ANEFWA’s second demand included quashing and setting aside condition no.4 of the office letter July 3, 2019 and to direct the responsible department to maintain the strength of work-charged employees as recommended by the commission.

Further, it has demanded that the government finalise the proposal of creation and regularization of 266 Nos. of post of field worker and to maintain the strength of w/c as recommended by the commission.

The association also demanded granting risk allowance to the work-charged field staff employees under power department on a par with the regular field staff.
