The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) kicked-off its 28th Biennial general conference 2019 under the theme “Aspiring Dynamics” at Piphema hosted by Piphema Students’ Union with Menukhol John, principal secretary, School Education, as the introductory speaker.

Speaking on the topic Hopes and Visions Our Realistic Response, John said that as a student, one should have great hopes and vision without which, one will become hopeless.

“At what age would you like to become self reliant?” he asked the students and encouraged them to carve a path of clear determination with hope. Menukhol also told them to not forget to put God first in everything.

The program was chaired by Petekhrietuo Kiewhuo; CRC Piphe Basa pastor Khovi Chalieu pronounced the invocation prayer. The welcome note and greetings were proposed by president, Chakhroma Students’ Union and PKKK president Zhato Kimho respectively.

General Secretary report for the year 2017-2019 was presented by ASU GS, Vizokho Zashümo followed by a special number presented by Northern Angami Students’ Union. Angami Youth Organization was the guest for the introductory session. Hundreds of student delegates from the four ranges -- Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU), Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU), Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) and Chajhroma Students’ Union (CSU) -- attended the program.
