All Nagaland Government College Teachers Association (ANGCTA) has suggested postponement of examination even as Nagaland University rescheduled final semester on August 28 to September 2020, as per the directive of the UGC.

In a press release, ANGCTA president Lily Angami and general secretary Dr. Kekhrieseno Christina described COVID-19 pandemic scenario as “alarming” and said that human life and safety could never be compromised at any cost.

All Nagaland Government College Teachers Association said that prior to examination schedule, the responsible authority should ensure safety gear and social distancing norms to all the exam centres.

Besides, All Nagaland Government College Teachers Association said that with restriction of inter-district movement, students returning back posed a major social problem that needed to be addressed.

The association has, therefore, suggested that that if means of safety standard was not ensured to students and teachers then the university should postpone examination till the situation improved.
