Angikaar campaign launched in Wokha

To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a city level Angikaar campaign was launched on October 2 in Wokha.

In a press release, “Housing for All” in-charge, MIS specialist, Elonthung Ezung stated that the programme was chaired by EAC (probation), Molosangla Ozkum.

The programme began with an invocation by assistant pastor-cum-youth director, Wokha Town Baptist Church, Cumbenthung Murry, while special song was presented by choir of Fernbrook School, Wokha. 

Keynote address on Angikaar awareness was presented by EAC, Wokha Arhomo Yanthan. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator Wokha Town Council, K. Mhathung Tsanglao launched the Angikaar video promo. 

Later, a plantation drive and signature campaign was carried out that was led by Renbeni Ezung, Nodal Officer, Angikaar, Wokha Town Council.

The programme concluded with Angikaar march from Town Hall to Police Point Wokha.
