ANHTU Wokha unit  celebrates 25th anniversary

All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) celebrated its silver jubilee at Wokha district, at chairman and VDBs hall, Wokha on November 24.

A press release by ANHTU Wokha unit stated that in the programme, Wokha district education officer, Kepelhouzo Terhujah called upon the Hindi teachers to march in unity by introspection of the past during the jubilee celebration.

He called for forgiveness, reconciliation and  to form a stronger union for better tomorrow. Terhujah said that earlier, Hindi language was given less priority but due to fast changing course of time it had become important not only for jobs, but for facilitating the people for economy and business.

Further, he advised the teachers to give equal interest and dedication to impart quality education and information to the students by rededicating themselves in their assigned duties.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by M. Phyobeni Kikon, invocation by former president ANHTU Wokha unit Nlongtsu Lotha, welcome note by convener planning committee T. Yanroshan Lotha, brief history of ANHTU, Wokha unit by convener history committee, Mhonchan Murry and vote of thanks by president ANHTU, Wokha unit, Konthungo Lotha.

Dedication of silver jubilee souvenir and memento was done by asst. pastor, Wokha Town Baptist Church (WTBC) Zurenthung Humtsoe.
