AR conduct civic action programmes

Various battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) have been conducting civic action programmes across the state for the welfare of the general public.

Awareness programme in Dimapur: Dimapur battalion organised COVID-19 awareness programme with faculty members of Little Laurattes montessori school at Selouphe village on May 20. As part of event, posters of COVID-19 precautions were given out and pasted in the school premise and essential ration was also provided. The programme was attended by functionaries of Selouphe village.
Assistance in establishment of civil quarantine facility: Zunheboto battalion assisted the district administration in setting up a quarantine facility at JNV School Chare, Tuensang. 30 beds were catered in order to facilitate stranded residents of the district coming back from the other states. Civil administration and public appreciated the efforts of Assam rifles in providing them with necessary assistance.
Setting up drinking water for quarantine facility at Tening: Jalukie battalion supplied clean drinking water to keep a 10 bedded quarantine facility quarantine centre functional. Village functionaries appreciated the commitment of Assam Rifles in reaching out to them.
Zunheboto battalion assists in setting up quarantine facility: Zunheboto Battalion assisted district administration in setting up a quarantine facility at town hall, Zunheboto. 30 beds were catered for in order to facilitate stranded residents of the district, coming back from the other states.
