AR organises plantation drive, medical camp

As part of its civic action programme Assam Rifles organised a tree plantation drive at Mimi Village and medical camp in Kohima. 

According to PRO Hq, IGAR (N), the tree plantation drive was carried out under the theme “Clean & Green Nagaland”. The aim of the drive was to create awareness amongst the residents, specially the youth about the importance of plants towards maintaining ecological harmony. The need to plant and preserve forest resources to ensure pollution free and clean environment was also discussed. 16 personnel along with 55 residents which included GBs and children participated in the event. Assam Rifles Kohima battalion conducted a free medical camp at Jail Colony, Kohima on October 28. The aim of the medical camp was to provide free medical consultation and basic treatment to the residents of Jail Colony and the adjoining neighbourhood. Free medicines for common ailments were given out to the needy. 109 patients benefitted from the camp.
