AR Public School Jalukie hold 5th annual sports week

Assam Rifles Public School, Jalukie held it 5th annual sports week for the academic session 2019-20 from November 27 to 30 under the theme “Fit India School Week” at 36 Assam Rifles, Jalukie battalion football ground, Jalukie. 

Gracing the opening ceremony as the chief guest, commandant 36 Assam Rifles Jalukie bn, col Shakti spoke on the importance and benefits of Games & Sports. He also thanked the faculty/non-faculty/administrative staff for organizing the annual sports week. 

During the four-day event, long jump, high jump, shot-put, relay race, race, sack race, three leg race, marathon, badminton, volleyball, football, tug-of-war and kho-kho were played.

The events witnessed competition between four teams namely Green House, Blue House, Red House and Yellow House. Green house team was declared as the overall champion while Blue house team bagged the runners-up position. H. Zaza Sephe was awarded as best sports person in overall girls category and Insadaube Pame as best sports person in boys’ category.

The programme was chaired by assistance teacher, Reluile Haiteilung, and vote of thanks was delivered by assistant teacher, Huritan Zeliang. 

Principal ARPS Jalukie, N. Kiziun, graced the closing ceremony and vote of thanks was delivered by Keneingulie Khezhie.
