AR seize drugs worth  Rs 12 crore in Moreh

 In a delayed report, troops of Assam Rifles recovered around 1.3 kg of Brown Sugar and 1,30,000 WY tablets worth around Rs 12 crore in the international market on August 16. The consignments were recovered by a team of Moreh battalion of Assam Rifles during a raid, sources said. 

The items were recovered from a house belonging to Thangminlen Haokip son of Ngulkhojam Haokip of L Youjang locality of Moreh town and handed over to Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Imphal, the source added.     

With this latest seizure, 26 Sector of Assam Rifles has seized drugs worth around Rs 65 crores from its operational area, Tengnoupal district since March 2018.
