Arrest remaining culprits involved in Aug 16 killing: YSU

Yemishe Students’ Union (YSU) has called upon the law enforcing agency to arrest the remaining culprits involved in the killing of Toishe Yeptho on August 16. 

In a statement, YSU president, Tohuka Yepthomi and general secretary, Swuka P Assumi while lauding the efforts of Dimapur police for nabbing the culprits involved in the killing have appealed to the law enforcing agency to ensure that the criminals were not allowed to go scot-free under any circumstance but initiate stringent action them. It stated that the culprits should be awarded not less than life imprisonment to set an example to those harbouring crime. 

YSU said it was trying to restrain and refrain from any untoward backlash out of the issue, but cautioned that it will be forced to take any unrelenting steps if justice is delayed and for which it will not be held responsible. However, the union stated that it has faith in judiciary system and that police department will arrest the remaining culprits at the earliest.
