Amahator Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has set a 15-day for the PWD (R&B) and the contractor to resume the work on PMGSY work (Ph.VIII) under Kichang to Hutanger via Hurong.

In a press statement, ARSU president Chumtsase and general secretary Selikyu claimed that the work was supposed to be completed in March 2019. In this regard, the union warned that it will take its own legal course of action in the event of falling to adhere on its directive.  Meanwhile, the union inspected government schools under its jurisdiction on May 22 to check the performance of the teachers and implementation of various developmental activities under its jurisdiction.
During the visit, the union claimed that some of the teachers were irregular in their duties and students were yet to receive their books and uniform even though the academic session is at the middle of the year. In this regard, ARSU warned all the teachers under Amahator range to be sincere in their duties and abide with the resolution of ARSU. The union has also appealed to the Village Education Committee and Town Education Committee to be vigilant in their respective jurisdiction and appealed the department to fill the shortage of teachers especially subject teachers- Math, Science, Hindi and Mother Tongue.
