Assam Educationist in Forbes India’s list of business leaders

Dr. Shahnaz Ahmed, Chairperson, Springdale High School, Jorhat makes it to Forbes India’s list of Globally Recognized Indian Business Leaders. Dr. Ahmed is the first person from the North Eastern part of the country to be featured in the lists. She is involved in social activities and was the former National President of Country Women Association of India (CWAI) for 3 consecutive terms of 10 years each. She has worked for the empowerment of women, values of equality and dignity for all, over the past years. She has also worked in many education programs for children and women. Dr. Shahnaz Ahmed has dedicated her life to bring about quality education over a time span of 35 years. 

Reacting to the news of her being featured in the list, Dr. Ahmed said “I’m quite honored for this recognition. Having put my heart and soul into imparting quality education and doing my bit towards equality for all, it is at times like this that I, and people like me working for similar cause, feel encouraged for the work we do. We still have a long way to go in reaching our goals but I believe, with joint efforts and dedication, we’ll be there slowly but surely.”
