Medziphema Battalion of Assam Rifles carried out a plantation drive in Ghaspani garrison and nearby areas to promote the cause of “clean and green surroundings” on September 21.  According to PRO HQ IGAR (N), various banners and pamphlets were also distributed in Medziphema, Kukidolong, Nihokhu, Piphema and Zubza with an aim to sensitise the local populace about the ill effects of single use plastic on the environment. 130 students, teachers and AR personnel pledged their support for the “Swachhta Hi Seva” campaign to ensure its success.
