Assam Rifles conduct various programmes

Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) have been conducting programmes and other civic action activities across the state for the welfare of the general public.

Interaction with village functionaries: Kiphire battalion held an interaction with village functionaries of Chiphur village. Commandant, Kiphire battalion highlighted the need to follow lockdown instructions in the fight against COVID-19. Interaction was also held with an Assam Rifles ex-serviceman, a war veteran of 1962, 1965 & 1971 wars. His constructive role in the betterment of the village, continuing the tradition of Assam Rifles of service before self, was appreciated.
Felicitation of student: As part of the initiative towards empowering the youth of Nagaland, Kiphire battalion felicitated Chumliba R of Loyola higher secondary school for securing the first position in the overall merit in arts stream in HSSLC. Recognising his hard work and perseverance in the accomplishment, Chumliba was felicitated by commandant Kiphire AR Bn, with a certificate of appreciation and souvenirs.
Medical assistance: Tuensang battalion provided medical assistance to a boy, resident of Monyakshu village, Mon district, who was bitten by a snake while working in the paddy field. Timely medical assistance provided by nursing assistant at Changlangshu COB averted further criticality. Parents of the individual and villagers thanked Assam Rifles for the assistance.
Setting up water facility at quarantine centre: Ghaspani battalion assisted district administration in providing water on June 2 at quarantine facility set up at co-operative training centre, Medziphema. The initiative was appreciated by the administration and residents of Medziphema.
