Assam Rifles conducts various activities

Assam Rifles battalions under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted various activities in their respective places on December 7 and 8.

According to PRO, HQ IGAR (N), Dimapur battalion of Assam Rifles under organised an interaction-cum-awareness programme with village functionaries at Doyapur on December 7. 
During the event, various initiatives and facilities being provided by the Assam Rifles towards pre-recruitment training to facilitate enrolment in the armed forces and employment opportunities in collaboration with various skill development agencies was informed. Functionaries from 13 villages attended the event. 
Phek Battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a motivational lecture under the theme “Join Security Forces” for students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalay School, Jessami village on December 7. The lecture covered information about the various entry schemes, application procedures and the pattern for written exam and services selection board interview.  59 students and four teachers attended the lecture.
Meanwhile, Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan attended the 20th edition of the Hornbill Festival at Kisam village as the guest of honor on December 8.
The Director General expressed his happiness on witnessing a unique, rich and vibrant culture of Nagaland, which he referred to as a perfect mélange of cultural display. The officer extended his warm greetings and also wished the people of Nagaland peace and prosperity in days to come.
