Assam Rifles seize liquor

Troops of Assam Rifles have seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) on two separate operations in Mokokchung and Wokha.

A press release by Assam Rifles stated that as part of the ongoing crackdown by Assam Rifles to prevent illegal activities, Assam Rifles along with Police representative launched an operation and apprehended one person identified as Naresh Tanti along with IMFL on August 24 in general area Monsenyimiti, Mokokchung.
Assam Rifles said 99 cases of IMFL amounting to Rs. four lakh and a pickup (Mahindra Bolero AS-04BC-2516) were also recovered. The release informed that the apprehended person along with recovered items have been handed over to Mokokchung Police station for further investigation. 
Earlier, on August 23 troops of Assam Rifles along with Police representative launched an operation and apprehended two individuals identified as Vitoka and Abeni.
Assam Rifles stated that 181 cases and 770 bottles of assorted IMFL amounting to over Rs. eight lakh and a vehicle (Maruti 800) were recovered from them. 
The apprehended individuals along with recovered items was handed over to Wokha police station for further investigation, informed Assam Rifles.
