Assistance continue during lockdown

As the nationwide COVID-19 pandemic lockdown continues, district administrations, various civil society organisations and individuals have come forward and offered relief packages and financial assistance to those in need.

DDMA: Dimapur Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) in coordination with district administration Dimapur has started distribution of relief packages to cover 11,000 daily wage earners in the district as per guidelines of NSDMA, Home Department. 
The first consignment of relief packages was distributed at Khuhuboto on May 6 and another on May 8 in Nuiland, Chumukedima, Medziphema and at Dhansiripar. 
GPPK: Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) provided refreshment to frontline workers at Kohima town on May 7.  
BoonFi: BoonFi, Kohima based local youth essentials home delivery firm, distributed organic vegetables brought from the hills of Japfu Town to Deputy Commissioner Dimapur office, Commissioner of Police office Dimapur and CTC office.
Bethesda Assembly of God Church & Hr Sec School: Bethesda Assembly of God Church and Higher Secondary School, Walford, Dimapur, jointly distributed second phase of relief to families financially affected by the lockdown at Walford area in the presence of the chairman of Walford area council and colony councils.
AR Dimapur Battalion: Dimapur Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) provided assistance to civil administration by establishing tentages facilities at state stadium in Dimapur town for enhancing the segregation facilities in view of arrival of stranded students of Nagaland in Dimapur. 
AR Mokokchung Battalion: Mokokchung Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) has extended its helping hand to the district administration, Mokokchung by stitching PPEs with locally available materials to ensure safety of the frontline health workers and policemen in their selfless fight against COVID-19. 
The kind gesture and concern shown towards the safety of the frontline workers was well received.
