ASTD urges Dimapur citizens not to panic

Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) has appealed to the general public of Dimapur town not to panic and cause havoc or spread rumours, but strictly adhere to the guidelines and directives issued by the district administration and government advisories issued from time to time. 

ASTD president L Wati Jamir and secretary K Mar Lemtur has also called on public to remain united to educate and advise each other to overcome the pandemic crisis. It also urged upon all to follow social distancing and other protocols during the lockdown including to stay home and be saved.

It also acknowledged and appreciated the sincerity  dedication and sacrificial services rendered by frontline doctors, nurses, medical teams and police personnel in combating the COVID-19 pandemic for the past two weeks. ASTD also said it was disheartened to witness people thronging grocery and forming long queues outside stores to indulge in panic buying, causing huge chaos and not maintaining social distancing as per the guidelines and directives of government.
