ATMA Botsa block launched a papaya farm school at Teichuma village and appointed Razoukhrie Mere as the farm school teacher on March 12.

A late press release from BTM, ATMA Botsa block, Khrievi Tachu stated that, a key note address was delivered by resource person Seyievono Chielie (SDAO, Chiephobozou and BTT convenor). She explained the purpose and responsibility of a farm school and the farm school teacher which, she said, should be the centre of information and knowledge regarding disseminating farming techniques and ideas. The resource person also elaborated on main activities of the farm school, which, according to her, are Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs) which is the backbone of every farm school.

Razoukhrie Mere shared her experiences on papaya farming and intercropping benefits.

An interaction session with the farmers was also held and the vote of thanks was pronounced by Hainenle Tep (ATM). Altogether ten farmers with BTT convenor (Botsa block) and three ATMA officials attended the program.
