ATMA holds field day on fish pond management

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Longchem, Mangkolemba and Tsurangkong blocks jointly organised a field day on fish pond management on July 12 at Longjemdang village under Mangkolemba block.

A press release by ATMA Mangkolemba block stated that resource person, BTM Longchem block, Nungtisang Aier, explained the farmers on the concept of fish pond construction and the type of fishes reared in the pond. 
The release stated that the farmers were taught on how to measure the productivity of a fish pond using Secchi disc. He also encouraged the farmers on commercial rearing of fish to increase their income. 
The programme chaired by BTM Mangkolemba block, Limawapangla was followed by interaction-cum-feedback session after which a field visit was made. Altogether 50 farmers along with seven support staffs from the three blocks attended the field day.
