ATMA Wokha dist level exhibition

Coinciding with the 73rd Independence Day celebration, Agricultural ATMA Wokha organized district level exhibition at local ground Wokha on August 15. 

A press release from ATMA Wokha deputy project director, T. Subenthung Yanthan stated that, the stall was inaugurated by the chief guest Metsubo Jamir minister for Rural Development. Various organically produced crops were put on display for promotion of local agricultural produces and upliftment of farmers in the district. One of the main objectives of the programme was farm information dissemination where publications like booklets, leaflets, pamphlets, folders on various agricultural farming practices of local translation were also distributed freely to the public. Also awareness on the kisan call centre, kisan suvidha app was also made known to the public.

ATMA Wokha also gave away the farmer awards to the best individual farmer and best farmers organised groups. Cash award and certificate was given to 3 individual farmers and 2 best performing SHGs. The awards were handed over by Metsubo Jamir.
