Autumn Face season-1 held at St. Xavier College

 Autumn Face season-1 was held at St. Xavier College auditorium, Jalukie Town on November 30 where the works of five designers were showcased. The event was organized by the Hill Tribes in collaboration with district administration Peren & DLCW under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) with the theme “Where Passion Soars”. The function was graced by ADC Jalukie, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang as special guest.

Speaking on the significance of the event motto “Where Passion Soars”, Chang acknowledged the support of the community, organizations, well wishers and sponsors for stepping out in support of this initiative saying it could be a life changing platform for the young talented sons and daughters. 

ADC also said, society should be aware of the remarkable contributions of female in today’s society, therefore equal support and care must be given to every girl child and also eradicate the ill perceptions of avoiding girl child in their family.

Hill Tribes Director, Kedi Nsa in his address said the main aim of organizing the programme was to provide the foundation platform for the talented youngsters in identifying their skills and to promote local fashion designers and models. He said there are many talented musicians and skilled artist amongst the youngsters and therefore this platform would promote them to accelerate towards their passion.

Short speeches were delivered by Miss Peren 2019, Gimlule Newme (Icon of BBBP, Peren District) and Mister Kohima 2019, Kevingungu Mere and vote of thanks was proposed by Autumn Face Season-1 chairman, Keyicetpeung Kulimbe. 

The event witnessed a host of upcoming models displaying collection designed by Etuna Iralu, Benwang Newmai, Keyiteizeule Ndang, Ari and Tingthengringliu Newmai. Their designs and collections will soon be made available on the official Instagram page @Autumn Face.
