AYO holds felicitation programme for IAS officer

Angami Youth organization (AYO) felicitated deputy director and nodal officer, directorate of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi on being inducted as an IAS officer through UPSC exam. A felicitation programme was organized in his honour at AYO office, Angami Public Organization (APO) building Kohima on Thursday evening.

Dr. Chusi in his address expressed gratitude to the organizers for honouring him and said the programme has encouraged him in a big way to serve the people. He lamented that Angami people lacked self discipline in many fields like business, education and urged the parents and leaders to encourage students and children to work harder. He reminded the gathering one can be successful only with hard work and determination. He assured that he would work hard to serve the people.  He also said that after fulfilling all the criteria and 5 candidates empanelled from the state, he was inducted through exam conducted by UPSC.  

APO president Dr. Kepelhousie Terhuja in his address expressed happiness for Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi on being inducted as IAS officer. He opined that Nagaland state produced less IAS officers compared with other neighbouring states in recent times. He challenged the gathering to teach students to stay focused, work hard and have determination for competitive exam.

The programme was chaired by vice president AYO Khinsanol Viswentso, invocation prayer by ex-president APO Keneingunyii Sekhose. Programme was attended by officials of AYO, Angami Students’ Union, NSF, APO and others.

Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi (50) hails from Mezoma village under Kohima district and is the third person in the state who has been inducted as IAS officer from non NCS cadre.
