Ban on riverside activities in Kiphire

ADC Kiphire HQ., Reny Wilfred, in a notification has informed the public of Kiphire District that in view of the recent tragic drowning incidents in the rivers in Kiphire and Pungro, going for picnics, fishing etc to the riverside is completely banned for students and youth till the end of the monsoon season. The ADC has notified civil societies, student bodies and all responsible citizens to assist Kiphire district Administration enforce this ban by bringing to notice any violation of this order. 

Kiphire administration has directed all respective Village Councils of Kiphire district to put stringent checks on students and youth visiting the rivers and has asked local bodies to put up sign boards at spots considered dangerous along the rivers as warnings.
