Banned items destroyed in Longleng

District and sessions court Longleng today carried out destruction and disposing of illegal banned items which were seized on various occasions in the district. The process of destruction and disposing of various intoxicants seized during different occasions in the district was carried out in connection with the petition filed by asst. public prosecutor (APP) Longleng and subsequently the order in this connection was passed by chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Tucuno Vamuzo under section 452 of CRPC, NDPS and DC act and NLTP act. 

In this connection, 1049 bottles of Indian made foreign liquor MC rum, 42 cans of kingfisher, various brand of heroin (brown sugar), SP capsules, nitrogen tablets, opium etc. worth crores of rupees in international market. 
The seized items were destroyed at the outskirts of Oushok village, 2 kilometers away from district headquarters Longleng. The destruction and disposing of seized illegal items were carried out in presence of CJM Tucuno Vamuzo, APP Vito. K. Chishi, and representative from Phomla Hoichem, official from SP office, OC Police station Longleng, P. I court, Oushok village council and Dobashis from district administration Longleng. 
Incriminating documents and other items seized from various underground factions were also destroyed during the occasion.
