Battle of Kohima Bike Rally concludes

A bike rally commemorating the Battle of Kohima’s Platinum Jubilee, culminated on Thursday at RCEMPA Auditorium, Jotsoma.

The event was organized as part of a year-long commemoration program of the 75th anniversary of Battle of Kohima WWII launching.

The bikers rally was flagged off from Tsiesema Basa, under Kohima district on March 30, and the bikers travelled through all major towns of Nagaland, including Kohima, Pfutsero, Kiphire, Tuensang, Mon, Mokokchung, Zunheboto and Wokha covering a distance of more than 1050 Kms.

More than 30 bikers took part in the rally including two women riders and they were flagged in on Thrusday afternoon into Jotsoma in Kohima district.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Ambassador of Japan to India, Kenji Hiramatsu, British High Commissioner to India, Sir Dominic Anthony Gerard Asquith KCMG, Gen. Rajeev Sirohi, General Officer Commanding 3 Corps were present at the flagging in event.
