BCLYE organizes Tokhu Emong musical night

 Tokhu Emong musical night was organised by Burma Camp Lotha Youth Ekhung (BCLYE) Tuesday, at Rainbow colony, Dimapur where various Lotha artistes enthralled the gathering with outstanding performances.

In a brief programme Revenue officer, Dimapur Mhalo Humtsoe as special guest appreciated the Burma youth Ekhung for organizing such an event. She said being in a place like Dimapur where there is mixed culture, tradition and identity, we need to understand each other’s culture which will help us to learn to respect each other and lead us to bring unity, peace and prosperity in the society.

She also spoke about how culture and education go hand in hand saying that education is as important as important as culture that identifies ones personality. Exhorting the gathering Burma Camp Lotha Ekhung (BCLE) vice chairman, Dr. Tsenthungo Patton, said it was important to uphold one’s identity and language.

The programme was chaired by Thungbeni Patton and Mhabemo Ezung, invocation prayer was pronounced by Lizamo Jami, welcome address was delivered by BCLYE president Wonchibemo Ngullie, while a special number was presented by Burma Camp youth choir incharge Sorenthung Humtsoe and Eramoren Khen I/c Yibono Humtsoe, vote of thanks was proposed by BCLYE general secretary Wilson Odyuo and benediction was pronounced by holy child school, headmistress, Sister Philo Mary.
