Biannual TOLIC meet at ARTC & S

The second biannual meeting of Dimapur Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) was held at ARTC & S, Dimapur under the chairmanship of Brig Arjun Segan, Comdt ARTC & S on September 6. 

A press release from ARTC&S, Dimapur stated that, Lt Col Bhavana Sharma, secretary, TOLIC welcomed all the members. 

A brief on various aspects of the meet was given by Hav Abhishek of ARTC & S. Member representatives of various government offices presented their reports on the progress on implementation of Hindi in their sectors/departments. 

Brig Arjun Segan, stressed upon the importance of progressive use of Hindi and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the Government of India. Segan spoke about motivational measures which can be incorporated for implementation. He also applauded the efforts of the members of TOLIC Dimapur for their continuous efforts towards wide publicity of the official language.  . 

In order to enhance the spirit of healthy competition amongst central government offices, a “TOLIC Shield” has been introduced, in which offices were adjudged as first, second and third based on their efforts to implement the official language policy. 

The rolling TOLIC trophy (2018-19) was bagged by office of the chief engineer, Sewak Project while Central Bank of India, Dimapur branch & Food Corporation of India, regional office, Dimapur were awarded second and third positions respectively. Food Corporation of India, District Office, Dimapur, Dy Inspector General, CRPF, Khatkhati range, Cement Corporation of India, Bokajan, Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre CRPF, Khatkhati and Central School Dimapur were also given commendation certificates. 54 members of central government offices in Dimapur attended the meet.
