The Imphal-Churachandpur section of NH-150 was blocked for several hours on Monday after a bomb was found planted along the highway near Little Flower School, Imphal. The highway was opened after the bomb squad removed the hand grenade wrapped with black colour polythene bag planted at the main entrance of the school at around 8 am. Troops of J&K Rifles on ROP duty closed the road at around 6 am after they discovered the explosive.

Reports said that the troopers of J&K Rifles took up the precautionary measure by preventing movement of all kinds of vehicles after morning joggers informed them about a suspected object lying near the catholic mission school which has been under threat from a militant group. Today’s incident was the second in the recent time that a bomb was found planted near the school.
