Brotherhood CC, Dimapur Royals CC and Dazzling Boyz CC registered wins at the ongoing 2nd Sovima T-20 Cricket Gold Cup played at Nagaland Cricket Ground, Sovima on Monday.

In the first match of the day, Brotherhood defeated Dimapur Bulls by 90 runs. 

Put to bat after losing the toss, Brotherhood CC scored 139 losing 4 wickets. Abhinav Dixit top scored the inning with 46 runs off 45 balls.

Chasing the target, Dimapur Bulls were bowled out for 49 runs in 12.1 overs.

Abhinav Dixit who scored 45 runs and took 3 wickets was named the man of the match.

In the second match, Dimapur Royals won the match by 9 wickets against Lancer CC.

Vatting first, Lancer CC scored 108 runs. Lanusanen scored 24 runs while Longsasunep contributed 15 runs.

For Dimapur Royals, Hopongkyu Sangtam claimed 4 wicket in 3 overs.

Dimapur Royals reached the target in 19.1 overs losing a wicket. Jonathan Rongsen scored 50 runs while Sedezhalie Rupreo scored 43 runs (not out).

Hopongkyu Sangtam of Dimapur Royals was named the man of the match for his 4 wickets in 3 overs.

In the last match of the day, Dazzling Boyz won the match by 8 wickets against Razzle United CC.

Batting first, Razzle United CC players were bowled out for 67 runs in 13.2 overs.

Anizo claimed 4 wickets while Ravikant took 3 wickets.

Dazzling Boyz reached the target in 9.5 overs. Hokaito Zhimomi scored 23 runs while Ravikaant made 16 runs.

Ravikaant of Dazzling Boyz was named the man of the match.

It maybe mentioned here that Brotherhood Cricket Club is being sponsored by Khriehu Liezietsu, MLA and Keviselhou Sekhose. The team was formed in 2014 under the initiative of Liezietsu and Sekhose with the objective to uplift youths of Kohima in particular and Nagas in general in the field of sports, music and arts.

Brotherhood Cricket Club was the runner up of the 1st edition of Sovima T20 Gold Cup 2018.
