BSI Dimapur appeals for people’s goodwill

Bible Society of India (BSI) Dimapur auxiliary has informed that BSI has translated 40 full Bibles and 13 New Testament additional, with few undergoing projects and some about to be completed. 

A press release by BSI Dimapur auxiliary secretary, Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah stated that, BSI goes on revising the existing text in order to update language and rectify any errors in the last printing. It also stated that, the mission of Bible Society was to provide Bible at affordable price,  children’s Bible to poor children and distributing to poor people who cannot afford to buy Bible. It also provides Braille selections and white sticks to blind people, which has been possible only with the prayer and financial support of individual believers and churches.

The release also stated that Bible Sunday is observed every year on the first Sunday of December throughout the world and is a day of offering prayers for all those who are engaged in translation, publishing and distribution of God’s Word. It was also a day of giving free will offering for the ministry of translation, publishing and distribution of God’s Word.
