Bade Village Council (BVC) along with Bade Youth Organisation (BYO) will be undertaking a “verification drive” of non-Naga tenants, coolies and workers (TCW) within its jurisdiction.

In a press release, BVC chairman, Kiesalie Thopi and secretary, Lhikhro Kreo, informed all landowners that any non-Naga TCW, without proper certified documents should not reside within the village jurisdiction.
Further, BVC said that in future, all landowners desiring to keep new TCW ahould register with the village authorities without which they will not be allowed to stay in the village.
The council informed that any dispute and cases arising out of non-registration would be borne by the landowners.
BVC stated that the exercise had become necessary to check the flow of illegal immigrants and has requested all landowners to cooperate with the village authorities.
