Bade Village Council (BVC) has reminded all landowners that the council along with Bade Youth Organisation (BYO) is currently undertaking a verification drive of non local tenants/coolie/workers within its jurisdiction.

In a press release, BVC chairman, Kiesalie Thopim said that tenants without proper certified documents would not be allowed to reside within the village jurisdiction.

Further, the village council stated in future all landowners desiring to keep new tenants/coolie/workers would be required to register with the village authorities.

It warned that any dispute/cases arising out of non-registration would be “borne” by the landowners.

BVC reiterated that the exercise was being carried out to check the flow of illegal immigrants and requested all the landowners to cooperate with the village authorities.
