CAN Youth workshop for teachers

 In a mission to develop smart education among students and its environment, CAN Youth under its project ‘Spatial’ organized a workshop for the teachers of five intervening schools on the topic “Developing effective facilitating skills” and “Understanding emotional needs and behavioural attitude of a child” on August 25 at Conference Hall, Tourist Lodge Dimapur.

In a press release, CAN youth secretary, Zhove Lohe stated that the resource person Path Finders director, Vitono Gugu Haralu, started her session with the topic “My Understanding of developing effective felicitating skills and understanding emotional needs and behavioural attitude of a child”, “Road of you”, “Loving oneself”, and “A letter to yourself”.

District Education Officer (DEO) Dimapur, R Amongla Jamir delivered the exhortation who shared her experience of being a teacher. She also encouraged the teachers to understand the problems of a child, weaknesses, difficulties and needs of the students. She said that teachers should try to be friendly, identify their creativity and quality of the student in order to mould them. She advised the teachers to motivate students, identify their positive and negative attitudes and win them over through positive initiatives.

The workshop was attended by secretary of Good Causes KOL, Kolkata, T. K. Majumdar. The program started with an invocation by team member Project Spatial, Kalivi Zhimo; a welcome address was delivered by coordinator project Spatial, Grace Chishi; while a vote of thanks was proposed by secretary of CAN Youth, Zhove Lohe.
