Due to the incessant rainfall for the past few days, the roads within Chessore area have been completely cut off due to landslides and “diverted depth drain.” Taking cognizance of the “pathetic situation,” the Chessore Area Public Forum (CAPF) has called for immediate exigency help from the concerned authority at the earliest.

Stating this in a press release, CAPF president, Kiumukam and secretary, R. Akhum said that the road via Chessore -Tuensang (via Helipong and via Kuthur NREGS roads) and Chessore - Huker roads have been witnessing major landslides cutting off the communication to major hub districts of Tuensang and Zunheboto. CAPF said that the aforementioned roads were the prime roads for the area people in terms of transportation of food commodities and for commuters. However, the recent incessant rainfall completely wrecked the roads which have adversely affected the denizens and they have been facing untold hardship.
