Career & skill seminar held at PGC

Pfutsero Government College Alumni Association (PGCAA) in collaboration with Career Counselling and Placement Cell Pfutsero Government College (CC&PCPGC) organized a seminar on career guidance and skill development at the college auditorium on September 8 with SDPO Pfutsero, Aotula Imchen and trainer Yangerpongla I Pongen, NCDC, YouthNet as resource persons.

A press release from mass media committee PGCP convenor, Neiko Ritse stated that Aotula in the first session stated that career guidance was a very personal concept as different personalities would trigger different careers. She emphasized on the principle of focus, strong decision and humility and asked the participants to develop self awareness, passion, interest, skills and most importantly, find motivation. The speaker further requested the students to look at challenges as an opportunity, understand the demands of their exams, get into a good study circle and cultivate good habits. The speaker advised students to always put God first and take risks without fear. Yangermongla I. Pongen, in the second session enlightened the gathering by making them self examine the words “listening and hearing” and how understanding these words makes a big difference to one’s life. 

Earlier, the seminar commenced with an invocation prayer by Medozu Mero, HoD Political Science PGCP and a special item presented by Surhulu Tunyi.
