CFD to enhance Christian unity

Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD), during its executive body meeting on June 4 has decided to enhance the Christian unity among all the Christian churches in Dimapur by organizing various ecumenical programmes for the church leaders, women and youth respectively. 

A press release from CFD chairman, Rev. Moses Murry and secretary, Fr. Dr. C. P. Anto stated that, the members have also suggested organizing a common Christmas programme for the year 2019. 

Rev. Moses in his concluding remarks said that a “collective spiritual awakening is the need of the hour especially where the values and principles of life has been at deteriorating point and has grown to great risk today”.  He said that as the Church leaders there was need to put efforts together to retain the traditional and Christian values and principles of life. 

Leaders need to play a significant role in strengthening the spiritual life of the laity in one’s communities, he added. The executive members have also constituted a three-member team, consisting of Rev. Moses Murry as chairman CDF, Dr. P. Dozo as advisory member CDF and Fr. Dr. C. P. Anto, general secretary CDF  to draft the constitution for CFD respectively. 

Earlier, invocation was offered by Rev. R. P. Murry and benediction by Rev. Dr. Phuveyi Dozo.
