Changs of Sangtamtilla celebrate Poanlüm festival

Poanlüm festival was celebrated by the Sangtamtilla Chang community on January 10 at residence of Er. Chubasashi Chang, Sangtamtilla village Dimapur, under the theme, “Waza”.

A press release from the organisers stated that, the festival comprised of four major components, namely denseih, lamshok, so-lüm and lüm-lin.
Er. Chubasashi Chang delivered the welcome address on behalf of Sangtamtilla Chang community in the programme chaired by Sonyasonla. Invocation was offered by S. Akhang pastor SCBF, heralding (Ngekletbu) by Akhong. Kongkin display was presented by Amung, Er. Chingmak shared the brief history of Chang Nagas and benediction by Bongan deacon SCBF.
Programme was followed by festival feast and cultural dance led by Chang community Sangtamtilla. Poanglüm is the festival of thanksgiving, forgiveness and celebration.
