Changsao Thangjam Setshang inaugurates new office in Tuensang

The Changsao Thangjam Setshang (Apex Chang women organisation) Tuensang inaugurated its newly constructed office-cum-conference hall, Tuensang on May 14. 

According to DIPR report, SDO (Civil), Ajit Kumar Verma unveiled the stone and congratulated the president and her colleagues for successfully completing the office building within a short period. He said that the CTS should strive towards the upliftment of Chang women community in particular and towards the education of the tribe in general. He also urged the womenfolk to pay attention to the core issues of Tuensang like domestic helper issues along with other welfare activities undertaken for the upliftment of women.  

Tshelliu EAC HQ, said that women play a vital role in building the society and can do great team work. She also stated that woman should raise their voice to influence and be heard towards policy making.

Nungsanglemba, president CKS and N Kaimang president TVCU in their speeches congratulated the CTS team and encouraged them to carry on working towards upliftment of Chang womenfolk in particular and people of Tuensang in general.

Naongchemten, president CTS delivered the welcome address and highlighted briefly on the construction. 

She said that it was only through the grace of God that she and her colleagues could achieve this long cherished dream and thanked village councils, various organizations and individuals who had contributed generously in cash and kind as well as physical labour. She also said that the CTS will let any deptt, organisations or groups to use its conference hall for the purpose of women welfare.

The programme was chaired by N. Akumla vice president CTS and vote of thanks by A. Chubasangla, advisor CTS.
