Padumpukhuri Village Council nabs 1 for snatching money

Padumpukhuri Village Council (PVC) nabbed a mugger at around 11 pm while he was forcefully snatching money from four labourers on Monday night.

According to a press release jointly issued by the village council chairman, Vitoka Katty, and secretary, Sanjay Mech, the accused identified as Tipeto Sumi, son of Nizheto Sumi of Aghunato village, Zunheboto, and a resident of Padumpukhuri village was a habitual thief involved in stealing goods and forcefully snatching goods and money from passers-by at night.

The village council said that after taking the accused statement, handed him over to police the same night for further investigation and at the same time cautioned everyone not to give him shelter in the village or he/she would be responsible for the same.
It said the village council would take stern action against him
