Chelsea recorded their third successive away win in the English Premier League this on Sunday defeating Crystal Palace 1-0.

N’Golo Kante put the Blues in front nine minutes after the break with a well-struck finish inside the area after he received a delightful pass from David Luiz.

Chelsea made a bright start to the game as they keep possession well in the Palace half.

Eden Hazard has started out on the left of midfield with Oliver Giroud returning to the starting line up to lead the attack.

Chelsea were unable to score in the first half at Selhurst Park but they struck the post twice through Willian and Ross Barkley.

At the restart, Chelsea got in front through Kante who calmly chested down David Luiz’s deep pass before tucking the ball past Vicente Guaita.

Crystal Palace’s only real chance to score in the match came in the 87th minute through Connor Wickham but he fired his shot over the crossbar.

The win sees Chelsea open up a five-point gap over fifth-placed Arsenal going into the New Year and keeps Chelsea in fourth in the Premier League table.

Roberto Firmino produced a hat trick to power Liverpool to a ninth straight EPL triumph.

The visitors were first to strike, as Alex Iwobi found Ainsley Maitland-Niles open at the far post and the 21-year-old midfielder connected to make it 1-0 for Arsenal in the 11th minute.

Liverpool were not slow to respond. Firmino broke his home scoring drought in the 14th minute and added a second goal just two minutes later.

The third Liverpool goal came in the 32nd minute courtesy Sadio Mane, with an assist from Mo Salah, who went on to convert a penalty in first-half stoppage time to make it 4-1 for the hosts.

Another penalty, in the 65th minute, set the stage for Firmino to complete the triple.
