Chief Minister, NPA, DPC offer condolences

Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio has expressed grief over the demise of B. Tekalong former NPSCN secretary, who passed away on April 6 in Dimapur.

In his condolence message to Mrs. Moangla, Rio described him as a sincere and dedicated educationist who quietly gave his best for the development of higher education in the State. His quiet demeanor was proof that he did not seek fame or the limelight, he added. 

Remembering his motto “Learn to teach and teach to learn”, Rio said late Tekalong was focussed on his ethics and rendered his best services to the State.

Rio said the state has lost an unsung hero, an intellectual who made many sacrifices for the betterment of higher education so that the future generations in particular would benefit.

Rio along with his wife and all officers and staff of the CMO, conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God grant them courage to bear the irreparable loss and also for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

NPA: Nagaland Press Association (NPA) expressed shock and pain to learn about the demise of Tekalong Longkumer, father of K Wapongmeren Longkumer, Executive Editor of Eastern Mirror.

NPA conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God grant them solace and strength to bear the loss and for the departed soul to rest in peace.

DPC:  Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has also expressed pain on hearing of the demise of Tekalong Longkumer, father of Executive Editor of Eastern Mirror K Wapongmeren Longkumer.

DPC conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that God grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
