CHILDLINE Kohima conducts programme for KODH

CHILDLINE Kohima conducted a two-day programme on Swachh Bharat with the children of Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home (KODH), Kohima under the theme “Does my childhood matter” from January 23 to 24.

A press release from CHILDLINE Kohima stated that, series of activities was conducted with the children, such as drawing and essay competitions based on the theme. Free services on manicure, pedicure and haircuts were provided by trainers and students from EDITI. Plantation in and around the home with active participation of the children, was also undertaken with the object to promote clean environment for a healthy living.
CHILDLINE Kohima concluded its programme with the deputy commissioner Kohima Gregory Thejawelie Sote as the special guest. He shared on the Swacch Bharat campaign being carried out across the state and nationwide by different government departments, NGOs, agencies etc. He also expressed that although many activities are conducted as part of the campaign, the Child Care Institute’s (CCI’s) are often overlooked. 
Programme was chaired by Keneizakienuo Belho counselor CHILDLINE Kohima, prayer by Neibanuo Zaputuo-o president, KODH. Welcome address by Neingutuonuo Kulnu centre coordinator CHILDLINE Kohima, special song by the children, KODH. Speech by Deputy Commissioner, vote of thanks by Rukuto Khamo team member CHILDLINE Kohima.
