Children recreational event to be held in Dmu

 With an aim to provide platforms for the children during the Puja holidays, Mind Blowers Club (MBC) has come up with the idea of organising “Children recreational event 2019” for children below 13 years, which is the first of its kind.

The event will commence from October 6 to 8 at DDSC stadium, Dimapur. This was announced during the press conference held Thursday, at Lerina’s cafe. The inaugural programme will be held on October 6, at 4 p.m. while on the second and third day the event will commence from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Briefing about the event, MBC president, Yangerla said that the event has been set up focussing on children to get them involve in recreational activities. She said that with TV, video games and internet, kids today are overwhelmed with screen media than playing outside so in order to divert their attention, the event has been organised.

Yangerla asserted that it’s the first of its kind and informed that the inaugural day will be a special night for the orphanage children.

MBC secretary, Mayangsangla informed that a nominal ticket of Rs. 500 will be charged per kid who are interested to participate in the all the activities whereas a nominal of Rs. 100 will be charged for kids interested to participate in particular activities.

She mentioned that parents can be part of the event free of cost. Food stalls, candy and toys stalls will also be set up, giving platform to promote Naga entrepreneurs.

The event will include various outdoor activities such including art competition, bouncing jumbo, recreational park, pools, innovative activities and karaoke etc.

Prize distribution for winners participating in various competitions will be held every day at the end of the programme.
